Gulf of Mexico Alliance Solicits Input for Strategic Planning

The Gulf of Mexico Alliance's Governors' Action Plan II was developed in 2009 as a 5-year strategic plan identifying actions that, if tackled by collaborative teams of experts, can go a long way in addressing regional challenges identified by all 5 Gulf State Governors.

Now, five years later, the Gulf of Mexico Alliance has accomplished approximately 95% of the actions in Action Plan II. And, a lot has happened in the Gulf since 2009 when Action Plan II was published. Therefore, the Gulf of Mexico Alliance is conducting strategic planning for its next action plan. As part of the strategic planning process, the Gulf of Mexico Alliance is re-evaluating its priorities with input from state and federal agencies, academia, non-governmental organizations and businesses in the region.
