The program will feature a Special Session on Region wide Research, a Special Session on Kemp’s Ridley and the Gulf of Mexico and a Special Session on the Deepwater Horizon Spill – Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration of Sea Turtles. Pre-General session workshops will include Sea Turtle Rehabilitation and Health; Education, Outreach and Social Media; Using Drones for Research; Volunteer; and the Blue Mind Workshop. General sessions topics include Foraging and Developmental Habitats, Nesting Beaches and Hatchling Production, Population Modeling and Stock Assessments, and Using Advanced or Innovative Technology to Study Sea Turtles.
